# Digital Link resolver (dlink.is)

> GS1 Digital Link resolver operated by Digital Link (Digital-link, LLC, https://digital-link.com). Each product is identified by its GTIN and has one public URL, `https://dlink.is/01/{GTIN}`, usually reached by scanning the QR code on the pack. The same URL serves a human-readable product page (often a Digital Product Passport) and, through content negotiation, the machine-readable set of links the brand publishes for that product.

## Look up a product

- Product page (HTML, server-rendered): `GET https://dlink.is/01/{GTIN}`. GTINs are 14 digits, left-padded with zeros (a 13-digit EAN `5060472670809` becomes `05060472670809`).
- Links of the product as JSON: the same URL with `Accept: application/linkset+json`. It returns an RFC 9264 linkset whose relations are GS1 Web Vocabulary link types (`https://gs1.org/voc/defaultLink`, `pip`, `homepage`, `ingredientsInfo`...). Redirects never apply to this request.
- Variants use GS1 key qualifiers in the path: `/01/{GTIN}/22/{variant}`, `/10/{batch}`, `/21/{serial}`. Dates go in the query: `?17=YYMMDD` (expiry), `?13=YYMMDD` (packaging).
- `?linkType={type}` (e.g. `gs1:pip`) redirects to that link; `?linkType=all` lists every link (HTML page, or JSON with the Accept header above).
- Other query parameters (`utm_*` and similar tracking) are ignored: the page renders as without them and its canonical URL never carries them.
- Language: the page is translated to the `Accept-Language` locale (`content-language` header, `Vary: Accept-Language`).

## What a product page contains

- `<title>`: "{name} {size} - {brand} | Verified Product Record", built from the product record.
- JSON-LD `Product` (schema.org): `@id` `https://dlink.is/01/{GTIN}#product`, `name`, `brand`, `gtin13`/`gtin14`, `size`, `image`, `description`. Batch/serial pages are typed `SomeProducts`/`IndividualProduct` and carry GS1 Web Vocabulary properties.
- The GS1 linkset embedded as `<script type="application/linkset+json">`, and an HTTP header `Link: <...?linkType=all>; rel="linkset"; type="application/linkset+json"`.
- Product information and passport sections (ingredients, instructions, sustainability, company) as provided by the brand.
